Due to the formation of thick cumulus clouds carrying large amounts of rain, the risk of flash floods and the flow of valleys and ravines increases significantly, in addition to the formation of floods, rising water levels on roads, and the occurrence of rock and landslides, especially on slopes due to soil saturation with rainwater. The rain will be in the form of snow on the peaks of the high mountains in the northeast of the country, God willing.

The low pressure system is also accompanied by strong winds exceeding 80 km/h, causing high waves and rough seas, especially in the Black Sea. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid sailing in the Black Sea or approaching the coast.

In this context, computer model outputs from the Arab Weather Center indicate that, as a result of the intense marine heat waves last summer, the surface temperature of the Black Sea is experiencing a significant warming, rising by approximately 4-5 degrees Celsius above average. This warming serves as a fuel for low-pressure systems and cold upper basins coming from Eastern Europe, potentially intensifying weather disturbances over several periods in Türkiye and neighboring countries.

Will the storm's effects reach the Kingdom and the Levant?

Many people may be concerned that this storm could affect Jordan and the Levant. However, the weather forecasting team at the Arab Weather Center confirms that the storm is far from the Kingdom, even the Levant coast, and is moving northeast, meaning it is very far away. However, chances of rain showers continue on the coasts of Syria, Lebanon, and parts of Palestine due to the persistence of humid air currents.
